Experience a Spectacular Namibia Safari - From Imposing Sand Dunes To The Big Five
The Etosha National Park, Salt Pans, A Desert, Moon Scape, and A Big Five Safari are all on offer in Namibia.
Africa's largest salt pan. is located in the Etosha National Park in the north of Namibia, a country of striking natural beauty. Situated on the South West of Africa, Namibia has a wild side with a flank of the Atlantic Ocean, spiky massifs and its famous deserts.
A good starting point is the Namibia Desert with its mountains of ever-shifting sand, acting as an impressive entrance. The imposing Sossusvlei sand dunes in the south of the park, reaching up to 300 metres high, really come to life when the setting sun begins to change their colour.
A visit to the ghost town of Kolmanskop, which has now been given over to the sands of time, was once a diamond-rich mining settlement. Abandoned houses, deserted skittle-alleys and desolate ballrooms are there for visitors to see.
Although many of Africa's big mammals, (elephants, giraffes and black rhinos), reside in the dry river beds of the Namib Desert, the best place to view the 'Big Five' is Namibia's greatest eco-region, the Etosha National Park.
